Publix?? They are too pricey!!

Before I started couponing, I would often shop at Wal-Mart for their "good prices." I would sometimes shop at Publix to get their Buy One Get One deals (BOGO)- but other than that I thought they were "to pricey." Once I was introduced to coupons- I learned that Publix really IS the best place to shop. Here's why:

1. They have a defined coupon policy- which available at the customer service desk.
2. You can combine a store coupon with a manufacturer coupon. (Some store coupons are limited per person... READ THE COUPON)
3. If you don't have a store coupon you can combine your manufactuer coupon with a competitor's coupon. YES! Publix accepts competitors' coupons. Who qualifies as a competitor? Every store is different. Check the sign out front (ours is where the buggies are).
4. Love BOGO deals?? You can make them an even sweeter deal at Publix!- you can use a manufactuer coupon on EACH item... because technically you are buying 2! Have a store coupon too? Stack it! (just make sure you read the fine print to make sure you are following the rules)
5. Their staff is AWESOME. I rarely find a crabby cashier and have ALWAYS had helpful service from Publix. They know their stuff!
6. This one has nothing to do with coupons, but I also love Publix because of the family behind the business. They have a passion for helping people and I know that first hand.
7. If you have a coupon that is more than the cost of the item (and you are using it correctly) they will allow you to apply the "overage" to the rest of your order. Sometimes you might even cash out with them owing you money. They will give you a Publix gift card for the value that they owe you. (I don't believe this changed with the new coupon policy... but you might want to ask)
8. They are kid friendly! My son gets a cookie when he comes in and stickers when he comes out. Can't get much better than that!
