How to Organize Your Coupons & How to Match Up Sales

Now that you have signed up for the weekly paper, you will need a way to organize your coupons. NO- you do not have to cut them all out. Take a look on the binding of the coupon set. Do you see the date- this is the date the coupons came out. So Get some sort of file folder (I use the accordian style ones) for every week. Put all of your coupons from the same date in one of the folders and label it with the date. This will be a tremendous help when you go to pull your coupons. I recommend keeping all of the file folders in a box. They should be organized in date order with the date being visible. Keep in mind- It MAY take a couple of weeks of getting the paper before you actually see the items go on sale. This is because items go on sale in a cycle. The companies know this cycle and issue the coupons a couple of weeks before the items go on sale in hopes that you will rush out and use your coupons. DON'T (unless you really need it.. like TP).

Now- you are ready to start couponing! You next step is to search for a coupon blog in your area. Here are the ones I use:
http://www.truecouponing.com/
http://www.feedinggodspeople.com/
http://www.womantowomanmagazine.com/
http://www.southernsavers.com/
http://www.couponingtodisney.com/

and other random blogs in my area. Now here comes the good news- THEY DO ALL OF THE WORK FOR YOU. These sites match up the coupons to what is on sale. Isn't that wonderful.
Here is an example of how something would be listed (the sites vary but just slightly):
Publix:

 $1/1 Febreze Air Effects, EXP 6/30/2011 (P&G 5/1/2011)Final Price: $1.50 each!

The part in parentheses is what you need to find the coupon. This one, for example is in the Proctor and Gamble Insert that came out on 5/1/2011. So you go to your neatly organized file, pull out the P&G insert from your 5/1 file and find your coupon. Easy, right?!!?

I know some of you live out of the state of Florida- if you need help finding a blog, just leave a comment with your city, state, and where you shop the most and I will try to find one for you!
